Evaluación Microtomográfica del Centrado y Transporte en Conductos Radiculares Curvos

Objetivo: Evaluar mediante microtomografía el centrado y transporte en conductos radiculares curvos utilizando dos sistemas mecanizados. Materiales y métodos: Se seleccionaron 26 raíces mesiales de primeros molares mandibulares que presentaron dos conductos separados con ángulos de curvatura entre 20 y 40 grados en sentido mesiodistal. La muestra (n=26) se dividió en dos grupos experimentales, grupo 1 (G1: n=13) y grupo 2 (G2: n=13), según el sistema utilizado; R-Motion 25.06 (FKG, Suiza) y AF Blue R3 25.06 (FANTA, China). Las raíces fueron escaneadas antes y después de la instrumentación utilizando microtomografía computarizada (SkyScan 1272; Bruker – Micro-CT) con el fin de evaluar la diferencia en los volúmenes de dentina radicular. Los datos se analizaron mediante las pruebas T-Student agrupada, U de Mann-Whitney, Shapiro Wilk según lo que correspondía (p < 0,05 significativo). Resultados: Respecto a la capacidad de centrado (mm), únicamente en el eje X se evidenció diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre ambos sistemas (p < 0,05). En el transporte, se observaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas (p < 0,05) en todos los niveles de la pared mesial, así como en el nivel 2 de la pared distal. En ambas paredes, el sistema AF Blue R3 presentó un transporte significativamente mayor en comparación con R-Motion. Conclusión: Los dos sistemas estudiados prepararon de forma segura los conductos radiculares, generando un mínimo transporte y respetando la centricidad de manera aceptable.
